Why PHD Launched a Space Rental Business Model
Due to the fact that many hairdressers, barbers, skin care therapists, beauticians, nail technicians and tattoo artists were directly impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic which resulted in many salons being forced to close down & leaving many professionals unemployed or without a base to work.
The management at PHD have decided that although they already employ full time professionals, they would like to take this opportunity to support professionals who prefer to work for themselves by opening up PHD’s doors on a rental basis, which consists of 2 options:
OPTION 1: A fixed price per chair per day on a pay as you go basis in the main salon.
OPTION 2: Monthly Rental of a furnished Studio on a lease option.
PHD Rent a Space will be an opportunity for PHD to support these professionals get back on their feet and back to work, servicing their clients without them having to commit to long term lease agreements or having to pay for monthly rentals with the uncertainty of whether they can afford it, or having to take huge loans to fund opening new salons. PHD has a well-established salon with a perfect layout to create a co workspace for professionals.
Professionals that only need a space for a day, for a week, or even for a full month will now be able to book a space for a pre-determined time, and only pay for that time, making it easier for professionals to manage their cash flow and their own business. All you do is simply decide on a date and time that suits you and your guest, book the space, pay via an eft and your booking is confirmed.
